The Cottonwood Revelation

The crusade of this meteorological boon?  The annual seed dispersal of the region's cottonwood trees.

Every May in addition to early on June, during a menses when temperatures warm, the seed pods of cottonwood trees outburst open, amongst each seed tied to a good-sized tuft of cotton-like material.   The heaven fills amongst millions of puffs of cotton, each pushed nigh past times the airflow earlier they eventually achieve the ground.

I was fascinated past times the motions revealed past times the tuft of "cotton."   Turbulent eddies of all sizes were evident, equally was the weakening of the winds close the surface. 

Slowly the lawns in addition to gardens turned white.
